Past Regrets
(100 word flash fiction)
Disgusted, Evan threw both arms into the air. "Don’t turn away I’m talking. You’ve given me the cold shoulder for the past week."
Her eyes dropped. "I made a mistake."
"What does that mean? I thought we had something special - the trips, our morning love making routine..."
"Feelings change, Evan." Her eyes met his. "He’s my boss! What am I suppose to do?"
"Clever," he murmured.
"I don’t think this has anything to do..."
"Sure it does. I slept with his girlfriend so he sleeps with mine. Tonight, when you crawl into my father’s bed, tell him I said bravo."
